Join us for a -60 minutes - magical puppet show where 700-year-old puppets come alive on a silk screen in the form of shadows. After the show, you will be invited backstage to meet with the puppets and the master puppeteer.

We will doing two shows and in between we will have shadow puppet workshop which you can make your own puppet and take it home with you.

Collaborating with Yunus Emre Enstitüsü-Washington D.C., Turkish Language Program presents the traditional Turkish shadow theatre -- Karagoz & Hacivat.

Traditoinal and contemporary visual arts will be presented the FTTA between december 1st and 3rd to promote and understansting of our rich Turkish culture.

Karagöz Shadow Puppet Theatre is a lasting tradition and an invaluable cultural legacy for the world. It is in fact recognized by UNESCO as the intangible cultural heritage of humanity in 2009. Karagöz Shadow Theatre is considered as one of the most important branches of traditional Turkish Theatre. 

We performed a Karagöz Shadow Show at The Puppet Arts Complex of University of Connecticut for the community and students. Among the audience was also Turkish American Student Association of the university. 

Karagöz Everywhere delivered a power point presentation for the students of Puppet Arts Program of University of Connecticut. Karagöz was very excited to be a part of a college course named “History of Shadow Theater” taught by Prof. Roccoberton.

Karagöz Everywhere performed two shows at Washington D.C. Public Schools.

The first show was at Wheatley Education Campus, and the second show was at HD Cooke Elementary School.

Karagöz Show was one of the main attractions of Bayram festivities at a beautiful outdoor park in Queens. The event was organized by the Mimar Sinan Mosque. This event was attended by hundreds of people from the community. Karagöz definitely added a very colorful flavor to the celebrations.

Karagöz Everywhere and Crescent Moon Karagöz Shadow Puppet Theater teamed up for celebrating Iftar during Ramadan. Two separate Karagöz screens (perde) were set side by side for two separate shows. Hayali Ibrahim Yazici and Hayali Cliff Long presented a memorable Karagöz shows for the audience.

At a beautiful outdoor location, Karagöz Everywhere presented a show after iftar for the community. We had a great audience and the children were excited to interact with the puppets after the show.
